In the Sendek era we are 3-3 vs those guys and doubt they were embarrassed losing to us
The Broncos need to be, at worst, 3-1 over the next four to really have any lofty goals remain intact. Wins over Irvine and/or BSU can erase some of the ugly from the SJSU game. But they need to get at least 1 of those 2 to get back on track.
Cal worries me. The Broncos have three games this week, with Cal being the last of the three. The Bears will have had 8 days to prepare for Santa Clara and will be mad as can be about their record so far. Losing to SJSU was bad but redeemable. Giving Cal its first D-1 win would be catastrophic. Cal is much, much worse than SJSU.

Those same 4 guys were 4-21 from the field and 0-2 from the line. Lots of very make-able shots in there.

No, I wouldn’t expect the Spartans to be embarrassed to lose to the Broncos because we’ve been the superior program for decades on end.
Appears you are unfamiliar with the long running futility of Spartans hoops. Some highlights (more accurately lowlights)…over the past 34 seasons (the beginning of my association with SCU):
- the Spartans have had just 2 winning seasons…not a typo, 2. Just one winning season if you ignore the non D1 win in their 17-16 season in 2010-11. And those 17 wins are their high win total.
- 22 single digit win seasons
- 12 seasons of 6 wins or less
- zero winning seasons in league play during the past 25years in the MWC and WAC.
There’s no way to sugar coat it, their program has been terrible for decades. It’s a dead end program where coaching careers go to die. So yes, losing to them is embarrassing. The only reason they’re still in the MWC instead of the Big West is because they have a football program. Even in the Big West they’d be in the bottom of the pack.
Sendek’s 3-3 record is a blemish on his resume, not an indication that SJSU is a respectable program. By comparison, KK was 8-2, DD was 12-2…a combined winning % of .833.

Folks, I’m almost positive that Bronco12709 is not Noob. We’ve been pretty good at catching Noob handles before he posts for the past several months (believe me, he has tried), and Bronco12709 isn’t one of them. We will continue to monitor and reevaluate, but let’s avoid the pile-on for right now.
Besides, I actually read Bronco12709 as being very pretty critical of the current state of the program, rather than the through-and-through Sendek homerism of another poster.

Not a worry. We’re all anxious to not have the forum devolve yet again, and I appreciate the vigilance. It’s certainly possible that banned posters might get past us, and we may benefit from the regulars calling our attention to someone who seems to have slipped through. This just isn’t such an instance.
