In his own way, I think Leaupepe is very skilled. He is constantly moving around the biggest guys on the court as he pleases WITHOUT getting fouls called. Incredibly, he averages less than 3 fouls per game. On top of that, he shoots 43% from 3 and 75% from the line.

You are right on that point, BballFemme. Cam’s minutes per foul ratio is not good. I’ve noticed a few times that his shoulders get forward of his knees while defending (and thus his arms aren’t straight up, but in forward of his chest), so he appears to be leaning into the opponent. He has pretty good footwork, so I think he could become an excellent defender if he can reduce the fouls. Have Cam ask the coaches if he can get old footage of Troy Payne to watch and learn, who is probably the best defender we’ve had in the last 30 years. Most of the time, Troy was in a textbook defensive posture.
