The refs have called almost twice as many fouls on SCU as Wazzu…
Not that it is likely to make a difference, but it’s hard for me to believe that the aggression is that disparate.

Phil has lived in Spokane for 20+ years. Didn’t know he was doing color comm but maybe he’ll be their Pacific NW guy.
Didn’t know Phil at SCU, 4 yrs younger, but I’ve crossed paths with him in Spokane. The teams we coached used the same practice gym. Supper nice guy.

Not at all. But hey - it got his teammates worked up!!! Those clowns were playing dirty all night and mad because my kid is built Ford Tough.

I understand leaving Cam in with a tech and fouls to protect Tilly. That was a dirty game and do t want Tilly further injuring his leg. But Cam shouldn’t be penalized for frustration after taking a beating the whole night. Refs did him a disservice. That second one was really soft. Did kid who pushed from behind get a tech?

Unbelieveable shooting display by the Broncos. 15/19 in 3s in first half and 23 made 3s for the game at a 60 percent clip tying the D1 record for most made 3s on the road in one game.
Sorry for those who didn’t see it on TV as it was special watching it. With shooting like that we can beat anyone. Let’s carry the momentum forward.
I also second TD24 on that while we missed Bal, you wouldn’t have noticed it. So many passes and unselfish play from the Broncos. Great game all around.

I did my best trying to find the answer to whether the two techs have any effect on Cam being able to play against Gonzaga. What I saw (unofficially) indicated that there’s only an NCAA automatic suspension rule if a player receives a Flagrant 2 for fighting. The conference can come in and impose other consequences when needed, even if there’s no ejection during the game.
But there doesn’t seem to be any consequence for two non-flagrant technicals outside of ejection from the game, and no way does the WCC impose any sort of consequence here.

Thank you Patty! He finally got around to returning my call. You are correct. Since he was not ejected for fighting, he is eligible to play against Gonzaga. We are going to need all the bodies we can muster and keep it high energy and play on Tuesday like we did at the Kennel. So happy he will be able to contribute.
