playing in Salt Lake City, no less.
Thursday’s Portland @ LMU also postponed, tentatively until Monday. USD/Pepperdine rescheduled a game for Monday as well. Only Thurs. WCC league game still on as of now is Pacific @ BYU.
None of the Saturday games have been postponed yet but bound to be a couple that don’t happen. Hopefully our game @ Portland goes on as planned.
I don’t want to get too off topic because this thread will keep a lot of us up to date on wcc cancellations - and i want to keep these thread clean with updates (mods, feel free to move this post).
I don’t think I’d even get too excited for us picking non-conference games in the meantime. It’s nearly impossible to pick out an opponent that would have 0% chance of being exposed - leading to more potential cases within our own team, thus potentially keeping our own players out of games on the horizon.
I’d rather see a completely healthy team start league play than omicron continue to keep players out once league play starts just because we tried to sneak in a game.
Portland game moved to Feb 14th. sigh.
I hear you Midwest. Still, there are potential possibilities with local teams (within a bus ride) where it wouldn’t be that big of a deal if plans got scrapped at the last minute due to positive tests.
Then again, I wouldn’t set foot (as a viewer) into any indoor venue with a crowd for the time being. Perhaps for the sake of the team they could play some local games without a crowd.
The situation stinks for sure. I’d just hope someone is exploring possibilities.
USF vs Loyola Chicago is on the WCC Network right now.
Thanks for the tip! Just tuned in, and heard that Ken Pomeroy is joining the broadcast as a guest at halftime.

Obviously a bummer that so many games have been cancelled, but the fact that every missed game has been tentatively rescheduled rules. Good work by SCU, especially getting that Pacific game in on Saturday.
