I shouldn’t have even mentioned the ESPN oddity…leading to more confusion…just didn’t want anyone to see that and miss the 1st hour of the game.
Could be what Lucas is saying…a delayed start in airing by Flo. If so would be even more annoying to have to pay the fee and still not see it live.
As 'Nashty notes Vegas and all of Nevada are the Pacific time zone, and regardless ESPN’s website generally ‘adjusts’ for and lists whatever time zone you reside in. Even if Vegas were in the MT time zone (it isn’t), the website would still show 5pm for those of us in the Pacific. …or it’s what Lucas said.
I’m listening to radio feed.
I 2nd Midwest…trying to also follow via stat trackers but they aren’t working…ugh.
From Passarelli they just mentioned there are no sideline stat takers and no one provide periodic media updates which is probably why the stat trackers. Between that and dozen fans Nashty notes and the use of FloTv this seems like a low budget, shoddy operation. Hopefully they paid the light bill.
I get that these neutral sites have become standard but there has to be a better way…going backwards IMO.
I am just going to say I finally got in the broadcast - so missed 1st 9 minutes. Cam came off bench and played two pressure defense plays. Forced two turnovers. We were down ten. Closed gap to 6 off defensive pressure. Need EVERYONE to play defensive pressure. Thats difference between a win or loss.
Google is the only place that I can find that has decent stat tracking. Bal and Mahi leading the way scoring wise with 8 and 12 respectively as of me typing.
We lost on defense. We also lost for playing low IQ and lackluster play. We were on the bonus with as many as 9 minutes and we NEVER DROVE.
Might HELP to move Cam into his position so we can have an advantage in size, strength and speed - vs forcing him to play out of position against guys 5-7 inches taller.
Hate to say it but this looks like Santa Clara basketball for the last several years. Pretty good team but not the consistency of performance you see from mid majors that build an At Large resume.
Agreed. More experience, same issues. Lackluster offense and poor defense especially against the 3 ball. For all the talk of roster depth the coaching scheme is not working. Sad.
Reporting in from the Lee Family Forum…pretty nice small (I think capacity is 5K or so…home of the Knights IHL team) arena. Crowd was quite sparse for the 1st half, but UCLA and UNM fans are boosting the crowd now. Have to agree that these neutral site games are pretty sterile.
The game was pretty choppy. Femme is right that the Broncos settled for way too many 3’s and didn’t attempt to drive when ASU was in early 2nd half foul trouble. I did like Mahi’s aggressive play. He’s a quality addition.
Gonna have to win at Nevada now to get back on track. That’s not easy. I never expected to start 4-0 against this schedule, but 3-1 is necessary to reach the heights the team is capable of. Winning against Alford’s boys in Reno is a lot harder than a quiet neutral venue against ASU.
