A player for this year’s squad? They currently have 15 players on the team. Do the Broncos even have a roster spot, scholarship or playing time for this player?
He’s there working out with the team. Don’t know the ins and outs but he didn’t come to sit out. Assuming a few will redshirt.
Why don’t you just share what you know? Nobody on here is going to hold your feet to the fire if this mystery player doesn’t come to fruition.

International player?
If the roster hasn’t changed yet then I doubt that we’ll get an update from the team. I’m inclined to believe that said player is just a guest helping the Broncos prepare. Its hard to tell without any context.

Maybe he is helping the team prepare, although it seems doubtful. Nonetheless, he’s been linked to Santa Clara before and is on campus now. Take from it what you will. I just hope he helps the squad

Was that the player who decided on his way to the airport that he didn’t want to leave home and decided not to come to SCU?
From what I recall, he was a recruit from Finland and was on the roster in 2021. He participated in summer practices but ultimately decided to return home to pursue a pro career. However, others here might have a better memory or have more details about him.
Whatever this turns out to be (or not be) it’s a fun guessing game. For international guys…Thierry Darlan was an SCU commit but is now in the G-League. Seems like he’d be ineligible to come back to college. I know SCU talked with Davide Casarin, but he just resigned with a top Italian team.
But there are always 8x as many players actively recruited as the ones we end up knowing about.
Who was that kiwi who was going to have his redemption arc after flaming out at Kentucky and then never came? He’d be about 30 by now, but still probably has a season of eligibility…

Willie Caruso still has eligibility left. 
Though I think my working theory until more info comes is that the International Mystery Man (IMM) is All-Canada Elijah Mahi in a dime store moustache.

His name was Tai Wynyard. I believe he “committed” during Sendek’s second season at Santa Clara. I did some searching online and found this article from that time.

Not relevant to the international player discussion but I noticed Andre Kelly (Former Cal Bear/ UCSB player) is a graduate student manager. He had a nice career and should be a good practice player for our bigs.
