Can we start a ‘26-27 OOC schedule thread? I thought we had one, but I can’t find it!
i think we’re going to need to add two more Q1 games with Gonzaga gone and SMC slipping.

Forget if it’s been said, but have they announced how many conference games we’ll have? That’ll affect our ability to search for good out of conference opponents.
I’m fairly confident that they will go with 18 conference games again. We’ll have 10 teams in conference in 26-27, so 9 opponents home-and-home gets us to 18.
The year after, when UCSD joins, will likely require the WCC to revert back to an unbalanced schedule.
I would love if we brought travel partners back. When was the last time we had that format?
Portland/seattle
Pacific/smc
Scu/usf
Lmu/pepp
USD/denver?
In my small brain it helps me remember who is upcoming on our schedule each week and if we’re home or away.
I suppose it could work next year, but once UCSD comes in? Unless the WCC gets a 12th school into the WCC. But that will require Stu to work hard over the next couple of months. The conference membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. I assume any school moving conferences will need to give some minimum amount of notice to their current conference. I’d guess at least 1 year of advance notice, but perhaps 2 years (that might explain why UCSD announced the move last year but isn’t coming in to the WCC until July 1 2027).
I’ll bet we see an announcement of the future addition of a 12th school by the end of June 2026.
Wasn’t sure where to put this and really not related to anything, but i went to Easter Mass at the Mission today and saw Herb and Jake chatting with folks after out in front. Also spotted Noah B. Was just nice to see. A good Easter egg if you will
Ironically, also spotted nearby was a 7-1 grad 3 years ahead of me who went to my HS. Had the size but not the tool set. His 3 siblings..all smaller..were better ballers. When his youngest brother showed up to my grade school in 7th (i was in 8th) i knew right then we were gonna win the CYO championship.
Today was a good day to be a Bronco.
The transfer portal begins tomorrow, and by my count, with today’s current development, we have presently 12 players on scholarship including the three kids that signed last fall. So, we should have 3 scholarships available as it relates to the transfer portal, more than likely 4 with Graves expected departure. Please feel free to correct me if mistaken.
26-27 Roster:
SR…..Ensminger, Darlan
JR…..Oboye, Normand, Tadjo
SO….Graves, Cochran, Chukwudebelu
FR….Longcor, Jolin, Kuykendall, Ensor
Graduation: Knapper & Mahi
Transfer: Hammond & Gavulyugov
NBA: Graves ???
Add Badabinga to freshman (redshirt).
Could be that if we keep everyone else in place, we pick-up a couple of point guards and we rock on?
Normand and Tadjo should still be sophomores for eligibility purposes, Redshirt Sophomores.
Assumes they get medical redshirts.

This is really impressive! Mr. Basketball for a country!
That is quite impressive. Congratulations to young Mr. Jolin and…
Go Broncos!
Not sure how others feel but it truly feels more like a reload than a rebuild. A much easier conference season probably makes it feel that way too.
We confirmed have Sash, Ensminger, Longcor, Cochran, Tadjo, Francis - plus incoming freshman.
No word on (but feel confident about) - Normand, Badibanga
Tbd - Darlan, Bukky
Out - Graves, Hammond
Graduated - Knapper, Mahi
They announced Tadjo back I believe last week!
Does anyone here think the guys who have already declared they are staying are also lobbying some of the other guys to stay? Or is this a zero-sum game where the players staying know they’ll likely get more playing time given they’ve been in the system for at least a year longer than any newcomers?

Edited to update with Tadjo!
Jake is 100% coming back and rejected some big offers from other schools to return to SCU.
Heard they’ve offered Gehrig $50k to comeback. The coaches have really soured on him
Lucas, you seem to have your finger on the pulse regarding roster activity and movement. Do you anticipate at least one more current Bronco entering the portal before it closes on April 21st?
Good to hear re: Jake.
If they’ve soured on Normand, why are the offering anything? Vs. pivoting in another direction.
Also, curious why they’re souring….Normand’s strength seems to be as a high end 3pt shooter. We aren’t flush w/ anyone who fits that description especially w/ Hammond and Sash departing so you’d think you’d want that in your arsenal. Amongst the other returners there’s several capable guys but nobody who’s a huge threat. Cochran and Darlan shot pretty mediocre %, Jake has improved but he’s a low volume shooter who needs time and space to get his shot off. Don’t know about Longcor, maybe he’s awesome from 3 pt land???
