Hopefully Graves and McEldon can give us some good minutes this year because after Tilly and Tongue we don’t have much experience on the inside. O’Neil can block some shots but seems more comfortable on the wing. Staff must feel pretty good about the young guys to not have brought in any bigs from the portal for depth.
Yes, but don’t forget Bukky…He’s had a year with the team (redshirt) and can make a difference. He is 7’1" with a 45" vertical, and started out as a point guard. Our bigs are ready to go and are going to make some serious noise.
Here’s a chart on every Bronco players performance rating based on every possession they played on offense and defense last season. And as Patty said Jake was solid with the highest player rating.
Hope the chart loads.
I don’t really have strong opinions on the exact lineups except that I think Carlos Stewart, if he starts, needs to be attached at the hip to Ensminger. Ensminger’s methodical and precise style is a good counterbalance to Stewart’s chaotic athleticism.
Ensminger isn’t a raw scorer. Even in the FIBA tournament, he wasn’t putting up huge numbers. But he was Germany’s top player in efficiency, rebounds, and assists. He does the little things to make everyone else better. And with Adama, Carlos, and probably Tyeree all seemingly better off-ball than on-ball, Ensminger can help set them up to be successful for scoring in volume.
I agree. Would love to see Jake leading the team as a guard. He makes very smart choices out there.
I like the ADJ efficiency as a TEAM with Cam on the floor. Appears he is top for both. According to these stats it would appear our team improves offensively and defensively as a whole - with Cam on the floor. Personal stats are atrocious. Will have to see a 360 there.
Any inside intel on how the team has done/improved during summer workouts? @BballFemme how is the team doing? I’ve seen some fun photos and videos but I did not see Carlos Stewart in them. Curious if he is doing ok. It was so great to see photos of the recent Bronco basketball alumni joining team workouts. Says a lot about the coaches and the program IMO.
He has been in and out with that same knee issue. More out of precaution. The team overall has improved as each player has been working on their own strengths/weaknesses. They are bonding well.
