Bring this one home. Looks like Williams banged knees… think he’s good to go.
60 points in 25 minutes, is that good?
Really enjoying the color work by Tim Doyle. Guy knows the game and some of Sendek’s history.
I’m also paranoid about every mini run from the opposition due to the last 15 years of Bronco Hoops.
Probably unfair to these guys, but it’s the truth!
super paranoid and this officiating is going all over the place
ok, how is Braun supposed to defend there
Interesting article on him… he was a bit too controversial at his first couple announcing gigs. A Tim Doyle: A sports broadcaster’s life in 3 chapters - Chicago Tribune
No Carlos stewart in the 2nd half yet? Was hoping to get more of him. He’s been a lockdown defender
We will certainly face much better teams than TCU but this is as very good test of our physicality because they are built like linebackers at pretty much every position.
TCU is solid, they were bound to go on a run sooner or later.
Up 17 at the Under 8, we’re fine.
Come on big man. Those are free points for you. Need to glue him a pair of shoes to the free throw line in the practice facility.
Love this “I’ll take over” attitude from j will
needed to draw the fouls and stem the bleeding
Weathered the storm. TCU was going to make a run at some point.
I was thinking that about Stewart. They let him play through a couple early mistakes. I imagine when TCU went on that run, Sendek got nervous about putting his youngster back in there.
He’s going to play… has to.
It’s also this group is just going so well. And while they were probably overplaying it, it’s true that the game wasn’t out of reach until well basically now.
What was most enjoyable about this game was the fact that our guys played and played WELL without Vrankic in the lineup. There were just too many years when the loss of just one guy would’ve been disastrous. This feels like a real TEAM, not just two or three guys and some filler. Everyone seems to have talent, and more importantly, each has a clear ROLE. This feels like a special group of guys.
“Santa Clara is a well oiled machine”
a big win over a power conference team is worth celebrating. I’m honestly much more excited about the rest of the year.
as an example, imagine a 2005-2006 game without Niesen in the lineup. We would’ve chalked that up as an auto-loss. This feels like a team, under the right circumstances, that has a more than 1% chance to beat the Zags once. Not saying that they will, but the right game plan, good D, and hot shooting, it could happen.
