Does anyone have any idea when we’ll get clarity on Mahi’s eligibility?
Yes. We’ll know April 1 after the season.

That’s how it feels. Texas Tech has been using a QB who was eligible based on previous court rulings. He’s now not playing today. What a mess.
Any info out there?
Also, do we know if there will be a streaming option for the Stanford scrimmage next week? Some of these are being set for ESPN+.
Ken Pomeroy has released his first preseason rankings. He has the Gaels at 72 and the Broncos at 92.
Not much info about yesterday’s game just heard it was sloppy. I guess Mahi didn’t play because he hasn’t been practicing with the team recently. Something to do with a conditioning test he hasn’t passed yet
Just read on Twitter that the Spartans beat the Broncos 78-73 in yesterday’s exhibition
Here’s the tweet:
Overreact accordingly.
The Spartans could be sneaky decent this year. Pasha Goodzari’s father is CEO at Intuit and made a large contribution to field a competitive team this season.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before but apparently the Broncos fouled a lot in this game & Spartans won from the free throw line.
Broncos started Tadjo, Thierry, Jake, Sash & Bradley.
Many players are currently dealing with or recovering from colds. Eli Jolin & Alex Ensor did not play cuz they were too sick. KJ also didn’t play cuz he’s hurt.
Better than taking a quad 3 loss during the season.
Let’s look at the silver lining - if the Broncos were down 15 at one point, then getting back to just a 5-point loss suggests that they had some fight in them.
Trying to keep it positive early. I’m sure I’ll blow a gasket mid-season.
Without seeing the rotations, etc, I wouldn’t put too much stock into a scrimmage. We’ve had some great scrimmage results in the past with teams that went no where. ![]()
Exactly…let’s just get through these games without any injuries and call it a win. I am sure every player on the court tries their hardest during these scrimmages but I seriously doubt anyone is playing 30 minutes a game.
What’s up with KJ? Hope it’s nothing serious. He is a key source of continuity for this year’s team.
ESPN highlighted the Santa Clara New Mexico game as a key early season match up for tournament contenders. Lunardi also projects Santa Clara to win the WCC.
Would be nice to have this game (and VCU) on something other than ESPN+ for exposure.
Struggling to recall a non-conference home game on anything like national TV ![]()
Why would any network or streaming service want to broadcast a game at SCU when the building is half-full or less? Especially when, on any given night, there are so many P5 games on that will draw way more eyeballs. Makes more sense to relegate SCU games to ESPN+ and the like.
Make the game an 8p start and we would have almost a standalone window?
I know why they don’t, just musing…
I will be interested to see attendance variance, if any, after last year.
Would hope UNM and VCU are not half empty.
I think over the last four years, but especially the last two years, it has gotten noticeably better, at least from the students. Definitely would hurt them a lot if they lost at home during the fall quarter though, even if it was to one of the better teams.
BREAKING NEWS-- WCC COACH’s POLL has Broncos winning WCC title with 9 first place votes. St. Mary’s in second place with just 1 vote. Jake and Sash on all conference team. See SCU Basketball website for article.
Wish we were two
. It don’t matter!
St Marys exhibition vs Utah St is on ESPN+ Saturday. Loyola and San Diego exhibitions also on this week. Did not see SCU V Stanford game being on ESPN+.
