Unusual for me, but no problem gaining and maintaining access during the whole game except when it went out during a portion of Pipes interview…
Yeah, agree the guy was enthusasitic and a step up IMHO up from AP. Thought AP’s interview with Pipes was similar to a rural HS game announcer.
Yesterday was our second best offensive performance of the year yesterday according to Bart Torvik. Now up to the 29th best offense in America. If we can just find a way to defend at a Top 100 level instead of a 150th level then we could make it to the WCC Final.
Top 5 SCU Offensive Performances
- TCU
- Portland
- Stanford
- St.Mary’s
- @ USF
He stated his name later in the broadcast after coming back from commercial break: Ben Ross.
Stanford only scored 39 points last night versus Cal. What a painful way to end the season. Haase should be on the chopping block, but the brain trust up there will figure out some excuse to keep him. If they don’t, KK is available, I’m sure.
Portland back again. Congratulations. As one of the Pilot posters put it, if you just looked at the box score for Portland, you’d assume it was a nice win for us, but the Broncos were just on-fire. Unfortunately I could never could get the WTV to work so all I had was the narratives and the box score. Must have been a great game to watch.
In spite of the tacky way we were treated by your AD and coach, I’m still happy to see you in third. I’m so tired of seeing the same three at the top every year and the only team vying for fourth was USF. Here’s hoping we get to play again in Vegas.
Bullwinkle…Your Pilots are a formidable opponent and capable of beating anyone in the conference tournament outside of GU, which will be a challenge for all, albeit St. Mary’s. Offensively, UP can flat out score and really like their ball movement. Defensively, they struggle and rebounding not a strength. I do expect the Pilots to play USD, and we’ll get the winner.
Portland is a lock for the CBI or CIT and it’s nice to see them relevant again. The program seems to be in capable hands with Legans. Broncos won’t take UP lightly if meeting on Saturday.
Bullwinkle- echoing the same as Pete, and your former player Voldymyr Gerun and his family are in our prayers.
Bullwinkle, welcome back to the SCU hoops board. Your Pilots squad could very well go on a tear during conference play, especially given that the players will be away from the distractions of campus. I see Legans as a very inspirational coach who carries a chip on his shoulder – and he is able to get his players to carry them as well. I watched both Pilots games vs. USF, and was very impressed. Clearly, your program is on the upswing.
