WCC seeding

I just watched a piece discussing Rutgers (NET ranking 80) as a legitimate bubble team. I’d be mighty unhappy if we end up in the low 70s and miss, and a team in the 80s gets an at-large bid.

As much as the committee tries to make everything sound transparent and says the advance metrics, NET, etc. matter, there is still a bias towards P6 (including Big East) schools.
So even if we eke our way in to the bubble discussion I’m just not optimistic we’d get the nod over a P6 school (Rutgers or otherwise). Trying not to be pessimistic…just realistic based on history.

I think Rutgers just rattled off 4 straight top 25 wins.

They did…however, the public messaging has been that games early in the season count the same as games late in the season…no bias towards “hot at the end”…at least, that is how it is publicly addressed.

Of course we don’t get the chance to play that many top 25 teams
