25-26 Bracketology

Agree. I feel pretty good about our chances with all the 6 seeds.

I want an 11 seed and no play-in. Quite the needle we are trying to thread!

Down goes SMU. Cincy pulling away from UCF. Auburn vs Miss St is tightening up

Regarding Auburn, I’m reminded of the phrase “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.” I don’t understand why all of these bracketologists don’t believe them.

That was a nice comeback win by Louisville especially since they were playing without their best player Mikel Brown

If you’re truly in deep:

Our early season opponent McNeese State is playing in the Southland title game.

They’re the 2 seed, but the game is in their gym.

Last night they advanced in 3OT…

It won’t really move the needle, but it would mean we beat another team in the field. And they play a fun style of hoops.

If a timeout would have been so advantageous for SMC, why didn’t Bennett call one? My guess is that he knows he’s got a better chance to get a quick score by pushing it up the court to go against an unorganized defense.

Epic choke by Cincinnati. Almost as ugly as that court at the Big12 tournament.

Bearcats blew an 8 pt lead with 2:17 in regulation, while failing to score themselves…..brutal.

The court is a bunch of electronic video boards overlaid on a ice-rink surface… they can change the color.

It’s wild, and terrible - I like playing on hardwood, I guess.

Unbelievable. I jinxed it

Indiana down double digits, about 8 minutes to go.

Man, a lot of bubble teams do not appear to want to dance… even prouder of what our squad did.

EDIT: Cal down big, Texas losing.

Isn’t it great that we are wrapped up in bracketology?? Who would have thought at the beginning of the year that we would be checking the scores of so many other teams to see how that affected SCU’s seeding. My eyes are constantly on the scoreboard.

Indiana losing, SMU lost, Cal and Texas behind. Also nice to see Loyola of Chicago get a win along with Xavier and Nevada.
On top of all that the Broncos are playing an exciting brand of basketball and we are getting more athletic. This year the team looks to have solid chemistry and I do think we could do some damage in the tournament. The players seem very motivated and I don’t think they will just be happy to be there. Always proud to be a Bronco, even more so this year.
As always…..GO BRONCOS!!!

Nashty, great updates and a good day from our perspective! I have to think Xavier’s upset win moments ago over Marquette helps a little too. As mentioned, Texas is in trouble too.

Yeah, this is way better than checking out the one or two little moribund NIT forecast sites…

Nevada with a good win, hopefully it can allay the fear Patty elucidated for us. Air Force basketball and the NIL era appear to be a non-overlapping Venn diagram.

Cal is going to lose, and it looks like Texas is in pretty deep trouble.

I guess I’ll take that lame Auburn team if it means 10 seed SCU.

Lots of hoops left, the main “bid-stealing” threat leagues have barely begun. But fears of a high-major 19/20 win team rattling off three straight and pushing us down are quickly subsiding.

Pretty much just UCF, VCU and Auburn left as the only ones that can keep their stock rising

Texas losing to a crappy team is huge for us. Hopefully that knocks them below us in the race to avoid Dayton. [Sidenote: What did the good city of Dayton ever do to deserve so many fans wanting to avoid it like the clap?]

In a sporting event with perpetually changing hosts cities, they should thank their lucky stars to get the economic benefit of hosting this every year… no good reason the isn’t in San Francisco, or anywhere else.

It does give the event some year over year consistency, but it does feel like a random handout.

Another great day for the Broncos on the bubble. The collective performance of the bubble is so bad that some of this bad high majors seem likely to go nonetheless…

Probably because he didn’t think the technical foul would have been advantageous (as he was out of T.O.’s)…. but hey what do I know?

Thank you!! Appreciate you sharing.
